Well… his management

So, Ne-Yo was performing with Kells and got kicked off. Ne-yo was promised $700,000 and some changed and only made two performances. Although I have no idea exactly how much he was paid, it was significantly different.
Ne-Yo is saying that people got mad cause he was outshining the self-proclaimed “Pied Piper”. Leonard Rowe of Rowe Entertainment, R Kelly’s management, said there was only verbal agreements and nothing was written.
“I had no other alternative but to release Ne-Yo from the tour. From a business perspective, it would have been extremely difficult for me to continue under this cloud of uncertainty,” says Rowe.

The judge decided in Ne-Yo’s side.

“Freeway” Ricky Ross does not want to speak to the rapper

The rapper Rick Ross appearently “borrowed” his name from a real drug dealer, “Freeway” Ricky Ross. And now Rick Ross wants to meet up with this dude in prison. And as it turns out, they never meet previously. Umm…. Yeah
Ross, the rapper, requested a visit a long time ago and never received a responce. And about 3 weeks ago this guy trys to just show up in prison and meet the guy. Result, the real Ross ignores him. Wow! Now that’s credibility. But can you really blame the guy. Some dude copyrights your name and starts rapping and you go to prison. Kind of like Curtis Jackson and the real 50 Cent, except they never met before. Curtis knew the real 50, snitched on him and then took his name. Ross just took his name.

“No I never told him it was okay to use my name. I told him I wasn’t trippin’ but we needed to sit down and talk. Cause I would never be involved with a Millie Vanilli. I built this name to what it is today to where I can go to any prison in this country and get saluted.” This coming from Ricky Ross
Rappers are so cool now

Killa Cam sells Juelz’s contract to Jay-Z

What?! Really?! Yeah! Killa Cam sold his man’s contract to anotha label. What the hell is happening to Dipset?! They’ve turned into like 50 sub gang’s. Jimmy has his Barney look-a-like people and now Juelz iz rockstar’d out.
On Miss Info’s blog, Juelz responds to Cam’s sale:
A! What’s good !! Yeah, I’m free!! And ready to do me!! But its still Dip Set 4 life!! Its just going to be a new chapter!! I have no hard feeling for Cam, after all, he did give me a chance!!! But I will say this I was loyal to him and he took advantage. I would like to say sorry to all my fans, and the DJs, and most of all, my city, New York. Play time is over. I’m back. Y’all niggas know what time it is.”
I don’t know if you just read what I did but I’m confused as hell. So are you mad or not?! Somebody help me out.

Thanks… But No Thanks

Ludacris put some crack down on his latest freestyle “Politics (Obama is Here).” Who wouldn’t be honored to have a rap verse dedicated to them?! Well, Barack wouldn’t.
In the track, Ludacris praises Obama and all his glory. However, he goes on to attack Sen. Clinton, Pres. Bush, and Rev. Jesse Jackson. That is where Barack says Luda went too far.
“As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to. This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
As you can tell, that statement is too boring to actually have been written by Sen. Obama himself. It was released by his spokeswomen, Melanie Roussell. But it is his opinion.
Barack Obama has stated many times that he likes rap music but does not agree with its content. He is still on the same side and has not changed his point of view. The guy actually listens to rap hip-hop, which is more than you can say for most men his age. He supports young entreprenuers but wishes they would release less offensive lyrics. The man still has my vote.

Nas is more than talk
![]()
Nas petitions Fox News
We all know most rappers to be all talk. I mean no one really expects all the killing to actually go on. But Nas has a song on his latest album, “Untitled,” entitled “Sly Fox.” In which song, he talks about how the Fox network only supports racist material on its shows.
That is enough for most people. But not Nas! He took to the streets along side ColorOfChange.org and over 620,000 people and petitioned Fox News. Take that media machine! Color Of Change was kind enough to make a commercial about it. Thanks guys.

Boss gets caught in a lie

rick ross
Lesson #1: it is never a good idea to say bad things to the media.
Rick Ross, the self proclaimed “biggest boss,” always talk about how much drugs he used to sell. In fact, that is the only image you probably think of when you see him. Well then…. the smoking gun.com has something to say about that.
They actually claimed that they have a picture of him in a Correction’s Officer’s uniform. Ross denied the accussation stating that they were “photoshopped” pictures and it was altered. The Smoking Gun did not like that. They are a credible gossip source and will stand by their info. Soo…..
They pulled a document with his name and salary on it. Yeah!!!! And Ross hasn’t said anything else since then.

Holy Crap.. Are You Serious?!

Kanye and Obama
Now we all know Kanye is going to have a strong opinion. And since the whole “George Bush doesn’t care about Black People” (I have the t-shirt) thing, we know he doesn’t mind voicing it. But there are two main issues I have with this.
1.) Is this an attempt to draw young people to this event?! It is sure working on me. Shooooooot!! I just bought my plane ticket. I will be there just to see him insult the government in some form or fashion. And when he does I will be making t-shirts.
2.) Is this a personal slap in the face to the republicans?! I sure hope so. Personally, I can’t stand the bastards. What did they ever do for me beside put crack in my neighborhoods and make it too easy to get on welfare?! Thanks douchebags!
BTW, there are certain talks about Obama introducing Kanye at a certain performance too. GO OBAMA! BARACK the VOTE! I love this guy, I swear. He makes me feel like I know him. That is how you relate to young people. Put that man in health class.

Timbaland says J wants him to produce the whole album

Timbaland was interview by MTV and he said hip-hop mogul Jay-Z asked him to produce his next album. The long time friends have a healthy track record producing such hits as “Big Pimpin” and “Dirt Off Your Shoulder.” But even further, Timbo promises greatness.
“I’mma make it a classic too. You better believe it. It’ll be a monster! I always say this: You get a first single from me, I’mma get you up to gold. And it’s hard to get you up to gold in this day.”
We have come to expect a good record from these two, but will they live up too the hype?! Some people say Jigga’s last album, American Gangster, wasn’t all that great. He a lot of hip hop heads say Tim is on his pop/rock & roll and has forgotten how to do a good hip hop record. (Unless you count Flo Rida’s “Elevator”…. lol)

Nas goes hard on Brother Jesse

“I think Jesse Jackson, he’s the biggest player hater” -Nas
Oh yeah! He said it. I can’t help but instigate when people say stuff like that. It entertains me. We all heard what Brother Jesse said about Barack “Jesus’ lil brotha” Obama. Well, Nas had something to say about that.
“His time is up. All you old n—as, time is up. We heard your voice, we saw your marching, we heard your sermons. We don’t wanna hear that sh– no more. It’s a new day. It’s a new voice. I’m here now. We don’t need Jesse; I’m here. I got this. We got Barack, we got David Banners and Young Jeezys. We’re the voice now. It’s no more Jesse. Sorry. Goodbye. You ain’t helping nobody in the ‘hood. That’s the bottom line. Goodbye, Jesse. Bye!”
His words are a little bit strong, but I agree with tha overall idea. Huey Newton said, “The revolution is in the young people.” I believe that is what Nas is trying to say, more or less. The only problem is too many of us rather be “ganstas” rather than leaders.

Is it a real reaction to a comment overheard or a well-timed publicity stunt a week before Nas’s already controversal album releases. In any event, Nas’s untitled album releases tommorrow July, 15th. Plus, he’ll be in Union Square tommorrow signing copies.
